Department Summary
The Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact is a billion-dollar initiative designed to fast-track scientific discoveries and the process of turning those discoveries into innovations that improve the quality of life for people in Oregon, the nation and beyond. The Knight Campus will reshape the higher education landscape in Oregon by training the next generations of scientists, forging tighter ties with industry and entrepreneurs and creating new educational opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students.

Position Summary
The Knight Campus is seeking qualified applicants for its open research pool. Positions are limited duration, funding contingent post doc or research appointments that are part time or short term, contracts not to exceed one year. Possibility of renewal up to a total of three years, depending on program needs, funding, and performance. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.

Open positions will include research assistants (commonly known as technicians) or research associates. Research assistants conduct research under direction of a principal investigator; research associates conduct research with only general guidance.

Minimum Requirements
• Research Assistant – a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field relevant to the PI’s research program.

• Research Associate – a terminal degree by the start of the position with relevant professional experience in a research lab.
