Research Librarian/Media Specialist

The Alabama School of Mathematics and Science (ASMS), a public residential school serving talented students from across the state, seeks a full-time Research Librarian/Media Specialist. The Research Librarian/Media Specialist is a professional staff member responsible for the daily operations of the ASMS library.  The Research Librarian/Media Specialist works closely with IT, faculty, staff, and students to design engaging learning experiences, provide basic technology support, and create and maintain a strong academic research support program. Required: Master’s degree in Library Media Specialist, Information Sciences or a related field required, 3 years of related experience. Preferred: 5 years of library/media specialist experience in a secondary or post-secondary environment.  Experience working with faculty and students to fully integrate technology into the learning environment.
