The Kinesiology, Health & Imaging Sciences Department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for TWO full-time tenure-track position as an Assistant OR Associate Professor of Imaging Sciences in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. The anticipated start date is August 9, 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant OR Associate Professor will provide both didactic and laboratory instruction and serve as either the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Coordinator or the Clinical Coordinator. These positions require systematic evaluation of students’ comprehension of didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction by utilizing criterion-referenced evaluation methods. Participation in curriculum development, admission processes, and coordination of clinical education and evaluation methods. Engagement in scholarship, professional development and service is an integral part of the tenure process at Morehead State University.

REQUIREMENTS: A terminal master’s degree in the field is required; preferably in Imaging/Radiologic Sciences (a related area may be considered, i.e. Health Sciences, Health/Hospital Administration). Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen and Obstetrics/Gynecology. The equivalent of two-years full-time clinical experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer. A minimum of one year of teaching experience in a clinical or educational setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certified as a Radiographer and/or a Vascular Technologist.
