This open nursing faculty position prepares current and future professional registered nurses to practice in a complex health care environment. The School of Nursing desires candidates with clinical specializations in adult health, community health, and psychiatric mental health primarily teaching students in the pre-licensure program. Candidates will articulate a commitment to teaching undergraduate students, primarily in the traditional and accelerated second-degree BSN program. Positions begin fall 2021.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will be prepared at the doctoral level, with a PhD preferred. Candidates with a Doctor of Nursing Practice are encouraged to apply. A Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a clinical specialization in adult health, community health, and/or psychiatric mental health is required. MSN candidates with clinical experience and expertise will be considered with the expectation for enrollment in a doctoral program of study within one year of hire and program completion within five years of hire. Candidates with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level are preferred. Active and unencumbered RN license in Maryland or compact state required.
