Respiratory Care Instructor (Fall 2021 Tenure Track)
Salary: $49,900

This full-time, ten-month tenure track program faculty position is in MVCC's School of Health Science. Responsibilities include leadership, teaching classroom and clinical sessions in a CoARC accredited, associate degree program.
We are looking for exceptional colleagues with an understanding of the mission of a community college and an ability to promote student success in a learner-centered environment. A willingness to use technology to support learning, including teaching online; knowledge of assessment strategies for student learning outcomes; effective communication skills; leadership; ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment; a willingness to work collaboratively to make a contribution, and to grow and learn professionally are required.
All positions require student advisement and committee responsibilities, a variable teaching schedule, a willingness to develop curriculum, alternative instruction delivery as assigned and CoARC accreditation standards. Applicants must currently possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout the duration of the appointment.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include:
- A valid New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license;
- An Associate in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Care AND a baccalaureate degree in respiratory care or a related field;
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience as Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist including adult and neonatal or pediatric critical care,.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials.
- Travel to off-campus clinical sites is required.
- Applicants must currently possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout the duration of the appointment.
