Under supervision of the Head Chef and Assistant Manager of Retail Operations, prepare daily menu items to recipe specifications. In their absence, provide leadership and direction to the other Cooks and Associates.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Culinary Degree with accompanying experience or 3 years progressive cooking experience required. (See below)
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
A minimum of three years experience in kitchen production and line service required. Demonstrated understanding of basic to advanced cooking techniques and their application in a quick-service and/ or institutional setting. A valid Driver’s License and the ability to meet the eligibility requirements of the College’s current Motor Vehicle Use Policy. Current ServeSafe Certificate or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
Standard Work Days and Hours
Primarily Sunday through Thursday evening shifts, but shifts may vary and include frequent overtime, weekends, holidays and during weather emergencies. Required to work during major college events and weekends.
