Position Summary:

The Business Manager will provide direction for activities related to managing, coordinating, and controlling business processes such as accounting and budgeting, as well as administrative and operational functions within the Transportation Services finance unit. Reporting to the Director of Parking Services, the Business Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication, workflows, and work procedures to improve quality of work of employees in the finance unit. The Business Manager will also oversee journal entries in compliance with General Accepted Accounting and Reporting Standards (GAAP).

The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. The candidate must also establish and maintain a high level of public-facing customer service while assisting with complaint resolution, as well as work effectively with other units within the department to handle billing concerns or financial issues.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting or Finance; or related field of study with at least three years of related work experience. CPA, CFA, FRM, CMA, or other professional licenses to be considered.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Five+ years of supervisory/management experience required. Five+ years of Finance experience preferred.
