- Provide user support and technical services for initial
incident reporting and resolution including problem tracking and
escalation to other support units
- Manage the operation of the Technology Assistance Center and
ResNet (student residential network)
- Manage on-site Dell Warranty Service Center
- Manage support for special events
- Manage Computer Operations including deployment of hardware and
software images
- Supports office and classroom technologies through
consultants
- Manage support for university owned cell phones Manage support

- Provides technical training for campus.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Technology Trainer will be responsible for developing materials and training for both online and in-person training sessions. This position will be responsible for developing a training schedule and conducting in-person training. The Trainer will be responsible for training faculty, staff, and students on Microsoft Office products including but not limited to SharePoint, Outlook and Teams, Windows and MAC operating systems.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the positions’ role. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Graduation from a two year college and at least 6 months experience in Information Technology related field or equivalent combination of experience and education as well as:
- Experience assisting clients with all Microsoft Office
Products
- Experience working on both MAC and Windows operating
systems
- Customer Service experience
- Experience working with multiple platforms and have the ability
to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills and
willing to learn new technologies
- Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in Windows and/or Mac
operating systems; MS Office products; MS Outlook (client working
with exchange server); web browsers; web-page applications, and
multi-media hardware and software applications
- Comprehensive technical knowledge concerning supported products
(hardware and software) and networked computing
environments
- Experience developing IT training programs
- Experience conducting in-person IT training
- Experience developing materials for online IT
training
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of Banner Finance, HR, and Student
modules
- SharePoint Online
