Global & Intercultural Studies: Assistant Teaching Professor/Assistant Lecturer beginning August 2021. Assistant Teaching Professor /Assistant Lecturer will primarily teach undergraduate courses in International Studies, with an opportunity to teach other interdisciplinary courses in the department; advise students; and provide professional service to the department and institution. Teaching Professors/ Lecturers in the Department of Global and Intercultural Studies are expected to make service contributions in such areas as advising, curriculum development, assessment, work with student organizations, and programming. While the position is not tenurable, it is renewable, and there are opportunities for promotions that include longer-term contracts.

Required: Ph.D. for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor by date of appointment or Master’s degree for Assistant Lecturer. Degree should be in Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science or a closely-related field, including interdisciplinary degrees appropriate for teaching Global and Intercultural Studies courses. The position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college level, as well as those with interest in contributing to supervision of undergraduate student research and field-based experiences.
