Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide, College of Aeronautics invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of instructor in the aviation maintenance field. Prior experience as a military aviation maintenance technical training instructor is preferred. This is a fulltime faculty position that will be responsible for teaching classes at the ERAU WW Oceanside campus, CA, to transitioning military members. The nature of the position will require that the chosen faculty member hold a current Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
A requirement of this position is to teach 9-week cohorts of transitioning military members 18 semester hours of aviation maintenance courses. The position will require conducting face-to-face classes, 8 hours per day at the ERAU WW Oceanside campus, CA, with an approximate 10-week break between cohorts. As an additional requirement, the successful candidate must remain current in the needs and requirements of the aviation maintenance industry to provide cohort students mentorship that would lead to successful employment.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned Master’s Degree and a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. A background in providing military technical training is desired, but not required. The candidate must also have a strong desire to assist transitioning military members into successful civil aviation maintenance careers.
