The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine and Regional Heart Center is seeking a heart failure cardiologist to join the Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support services at the University of Washington Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide clinical care in the inpatient setting focused on patients with advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support or cardiac transplant. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of research and publication. The successful applicant will be appointed to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with experience. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30).  Anticipated start date is July 1, 2021.

 

Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases (or foreign equivalent). The applicant should possess strong clinical skills in the management of end-stage heart failure and transplant/post-transplant patients. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of research and publication. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
