Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics

Carleton College invites applications for a one-year position in the Department of Classics beginning September 1, 2021, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. 

We are seeking an entry-level teacher/scholar in the area of Ancient History. Ph.D. is required by time of appointment.  Responsibilities include teaching Latin and Greek at the beginning and intermediate levels, one course on the Late Roman Republic and one course on Classical Greece. This will be a full year appointment, eligible for benefits. The teaching load is expected to be 6 courses spread over Carleton's 3 teaching terms.
