West Virginia University School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time Associate Dean for Academic and Postdoctoral Affairs at the rank of Associate/Full Professor in the School of Dentistry. The position is responsible for curriculum development and management, academic and professional standards reviews, accreditation oversight, strategic planning, and formative and summative assessment of competency across all SOD programs. The SOD has a Baccalaureate program in Dental Hygiene, a DDS program, and post graduate programs in Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics and a GPR. A Pediatric Dentistry Post Graduate program is planned to start in 2022.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited US or Canadian School of Dentistry and advanced education at the masters or doctoral level in Higher Education or Curriculum. Candidates with a degree in dental hygiene and a doctoral degree in Higher Education or Curriculum will also be considered. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of combined experience in teaching and administration. Candidates must demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to diversity and social justice. Candidates must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia dental license. (Information regarding dental licensure can be obtained at ( http://www.wvdentalboard.org/ ). West Virginia University School of Dentistry is located in the historic community of Morgantown, West Virginia. Located only 80 miles south of Pittsburgh, Morgantown is easily accessible to major metropolitan areas in the East and Midwest. It has been named one of the best small cities in the U.S.
