The Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy ( pc.pharmacy.ufl.edu/ ), University of Florida, invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate professor level. Applicants should have a strong record of an independent research program in Pharmacokinetics and/or Pharmacodynamics and/or Clinical Pharmacology and/or Pharmacometrics and/or Systems Pharmacology or demonstrate outstanding potential to build such a program. The demonstration of or potential for an externally funded research program is essential. Faculty hires will also participate in the professional and graduate instructional efforts of the college.

Areas of specialization within pharmaceutics should complement the interests of the department and the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology . We seek those with expertise in the areas of pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, machine learning/artificial intelligence with focus on model-informed drug development. The positions will be located at the Orlando Campus of the University of Florida. Campus information is available at lakenona.ufhealth.org/ .

Minimum: The successful applicant will hold a PhD Degree (or equivalent) in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. FDLE Criminal Background Check Required. Applicant will have a research and publication record in the field of interest.

Preferred: Training in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences with demonstrated expertise in pharmacometrics and/or system pharmacology and/or machine learning/artificial intelligence will be considered important attributes of successful candidates. Expertise in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of large and small molecules will also be desirable.

Soft skills as well as clear written and verbal communication are essential to team-based research and communication between, trainees, faculty, and external collaborators. An understanding of patient care will further be helpful for training and mentoring PharmD students, PhD students, and post-doctoral research associates.
