A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a PBRN Coordinator on the Kirksville, Missouri, campus. The PBRN Coordinator reports directly to the Associate Director of DO-Touch.NET (Research Assistant Professor, A.T. Still Research Institute). Additionally, the PBRN Coordinator receives direction from Principal Investigators of DO-Touch.NET research studies. The PBRN Coordinator is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice-based research network (PBRN), DO-Touch.NET, and research studies within the PBRN. The primary functions of this position fall into three general categories: marketing, outreach, and engagement; infrastructure administration; and research management (in collaboration with Principal Investigators and the DO-Touch.NET Data Manager). The PBRN Coordinator collaborates with the other members of the Coordinating Center Team (i.e. Director, Associate Director, and Data Manager) to ensure that DO-Touch.NET fulfills its purpose to create and sustain a network of clinicians engaged in the assessment of the clinical usefulness of osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Major Job Duties

  • Marketing, outreach, and engagement:
    • Develop and implement a marketing, outreach, and engagement plan to promote the goals of DO-Touch.NET with assistance from Communications & Marketing to ensure compliance with ATSU standards
    • Lead member recruitment and engagement efforts
    • Manage DO-Touch.NET's social media presence
    • Organize and market PBRN events (e.g. Annual Membership Meeting, monthly programs)
    • Coordinate communication and collaboration with members and Regional Coordinating Centers
  • Infrastructure administration:
    • Coordinate the functions of the DO-Touch.NET Executive Board and Community Advisory Board
    • Assist with budget management
  • Research management:
    • Organize and manage research study protocols, procedures, and workflow
    • Ensure adherence to research project procedures and timelines and compliance with research and data privacy regulations
    • Train and supervise research support staff at research sites
    • Assist with study budget management
    • Contribute to development and submission of research grant applications and manuscripts


Requirements

  • A two or four year degree in content management, social media, healthcare administration, business, science, or technology
  • Knowledge of communications and community engagement, clinical research/project management, budget management, scientific writing, and use of technology
  • Experience in the following areas: community engagement; clinical research project management; budget management; information systems (e.g. REDCap); social media and website management; and communications and marketing experience are assets.
    • The successful candidate will have a balance of relevant education and experience. An individual with a two year degree should have three to five years of experience. An individual with a four year degree should have two to three years of experience.
