Job Summary
Serve as a vital member of the Office of Leadership & Community Engagement. Develop and maintain a robust, comprehensive community engagement program, including a strong local volunteer service program, and support, as appropriate, for the service-learning initiative and the leadership development program.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Coordinate marketing efforts for the Serve912 program on the Statesboro campus
  • Represent unit and university at recruitment events
  • Support the service hour tracking process through MyInvolvement
  • Coordinate the department's annual service-related events including Holiday Helper Tree, Step into Statesboro, and Sculpt-It
  • Oversee execution of the Serve912 community engagement program on the Statesboro campus, including community liaisons, volunteer trips, service events, and community partnerships
  • Recruit, select, train, and supervise a team of, at minimum, 10 student leaders to serve as community liaisons
  • Coordinate the daily volunteer trips and supervise related student leaders
  • Build positive relationships both on-campus and in the local community
  • Teach leadership courses within the office's co-curricular leadership program
  • Coordinate assessment efforts for the Serve912 program on the Statesboro campus
  • Manage the Serve912 program budget
  • Supervise one graduate assistant

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience which could include professional work experience, graduate assistantship experience, and/or appropriate collegiate experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education or related field

Preferred Experience
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Program development, implementation, and assessment experience
  • Experience developing partnerships with student affairs areas and community based organizations
  • Supervisory experience

Proposed Salary
$28,100-$34,400
