Position Purpose
Serve as a key member of the Institutional Advancement Operations team and work closely across the organization to collect, manage and supply data for institutional advancement use. The Business Analyst will perform daily maintenance of constituent records within internal and external applications; monitor and maintain data integrity; security and data access; report and query writing; perform imports and exports; and develop test plans, training guides and operational procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Incumbent is expected to work with a high level of independence and autonomy, and exercise a high degree of initiative, influence, and judgment in decisions impacting staff and department operations.
Expected to solve problems or address issues that require immediate attention.
Direct/Indirect Reports
None.
Internal & External Contacts
Frequent contact with alumni, and PEA administrative and academic offices, faculty and staff. External contacts may include alumni, parents, outside organizations, visitors and local community members.

Key Accountabilities
- Ability to develop business requirements and ERP systems' information architecture.
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and system processes.
- Strong aptitude for diagnosing end user problems, identifying and implementing solutions.
- Respect for diversity of identities and experiences, an orientation toward equity and inclusion, and cultural competency in all aspects of Academy life.
- Knowledge of SQL or similar query language required.
- Understanding of standard IT policies and procedures, including usage of test environments and change management procedures.
- Proven history of utilizing Microsoft Excel to import, export, query and report on data.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of relational database architecture preferred.
- Experience with developing and implementing reporting tools and using software to query, extract and/or load data preferred.
- Propensity for strong, internal customer service delivery and a proactive approach to user efficiency.
- Excel at uncovering hidden trends in a volume of data.
- Detail oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated history of functioning independently while working well in a team-oriented environment, taking the initiative to be productive and efficient.
- Assists the Department of Advancement Information Services with other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience
- Three or more years of providing implementation and technical support of ERP software. Blackbaud product experience strongly preferred.
- Three or more years of business analysis experience.
- Two or more years of project management experience.
- Experience working in a philanthropic or 2+ years of creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or other educational ERP or CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with data mapping.
- Experience with analytics projects; data driven analysis, possessing an interest in data analytics and knowledge of data science, data mining, machine learning and related disciplines required to manipulate and extract insights from large data sets.
- Experience with managing web content (e.g., CSS, JavaScript, HTML)
