JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Division of Nursing at Berry College invites applications for an open-rank clinical faculty position (9-month academic year) to begin August 2021.  Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and professional development. Berry's Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is accredited by CCNE and approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Our nursing program of five full-time members and associated clinical adjuncts serves 80 nursing majors as well as pre-nursing students.  The Division of Nursing (DON) strives to prepare professional registered nurses who will practice and deliver care that is top-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered.  DON faculty promote collaborative, scholarly, and creative work with students and colleagues and facilitate the application of knowledge from a liberal-arts education into the practice of professional nursing.

Our nursing faculty use highly interactive classroom teaching strategies utilizing high fidelity simulation labs, interactive classrooms, and skills labs.  Signature experiences for nursing students include a required cultural immersion course and a 180-hour senior internship that provides intensive clinical experience.  With two area hospitals, a residential psychiatric treatment center, several health and rehabilitation centers, and one of the largest multi-specialty physician group (the Harbin Clinic) in the state, Rome is the northwest Georgia's regional center for healthcare.  Berry faculty and students are well-received in area healthcare facilities, and nursing faculty have been approved by hospital review boards to conduct nursing research.

Berry respects the essential dignity of all individuals and accordingly hires and promotes employees without regard to matters of personal identity such as ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and political affiliation.
