Teacher Education: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor (up to three positions) in one or more of the following fields: literacy, secondary English/Language Arts, early childhood/primary/elementary education, or elementary/middle social studies education. Successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, supervise clinically based program experiences, supervise graduate projects, assist with student advising and provide service to the institution. Appointments are for the 2021-22 academic year with the possibility of renewal depending on available funding and job performance.

Required: Doctorate for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; master’s degree for appointment as Instructor in Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, Social Justice Education, Educational Leadership, or closely related field by date of appointment, and at least two years of full-time teaching experience in PK-12 schools. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience teaching or focus in urban, multicultural, and/or multilingual education; knowledge of and experience with multicultural and/or multilingual populations; engagement with anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies; experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses; experience with school-university partnerships; and/or experience of integrating critical literacies in the classroom. Scholarly productivity and university teaching experience is highly desired as well.
