Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

The Department of Psychology in the College of Humanities and Sciences invites applicants to apply for the position of Director of Academic Operations. The selected candidate will operationalize the academic vision of the faculty in the Department of Psychology for its undergraduate and graduate programs. They will also report to the Chair of the Department and serve as a member of the department’s administrative team. The Director of Academic Operations will work closely with the faculty directors of graduate and undergraduate programs and supervise the associate directors of academic operations.

Minimum Hiring Standards

*Master’s required in psychology, student personnel, higher education administration or related area.
*At least five years full-time experience in higher education with at least two years of full-time experience in higher education administration.
*Ability to supervise and motivate staff.
*Demonstrated interpersonal, oral communication, written communication, and time management skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work with teams.
*Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
*Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
*Comfortable in use of technology for various student information applications, including but not limited to Banner, Zoom, spreadsheets, databases, Blackboard.
*Experience in working in high-volume office that offers exceptional customer service.

Preferred Hiring Standards Required Licenses/ Certifications Anticipated Hiring Range $50,000 to $80,000 Application Process/Additional Information
