The Department of Human Performance, Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders at West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track (12-month) Assistant Professor to contribute to a well-established program with a tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of WVU and the programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders housed within the School of Medicine.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching, coordinate the clinical training of graduate students in audiology and speech-language pathology, and oversee clinical placements of students on and off campus. Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the clinical training experiences of professional graduate students, including participation in interprofessional education and practice. This faculty member will coordinate and align the evaluation of supervision activities on and off campus while developing and overseeing opportunities for continuing education of clinical supervisors and academic instructors of clinical courses. This faculty member will have expertise in the scholarship of teaching and learning for the field of communication sciences and disorders so as to develop and establish a professional development program for on- and off-campus clinical supervisors. The faculty member will contribute to a department culture of collegiality, collaboration, and trust, will promote and demonstrate innovation and resourcefulness, and will seek to promote partnerships within the university, community, and state. Active engagement in division, department, university, and professional service activities is also expected.

Qualifications :

Applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration:
• Clinical SLP or AuD degree, or Masters in Audiology, preference for candidates with graduate education specific to the scholarship of teaching and learning and/or clinical education or professional experience within these areas
• Eligible for a West Virginia Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology license
• Supervisory experience and potential for publications related to the scholarship of teaching and learning in clinical training
• Maintain a clinical practice

All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
