Job Description

The Department of Financial Aid at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is seeking a detail oriented and customer service driven individual for the State Grants and Scholarships Coordinator position. This role provides direction and inclusive management assistance of all scholarship programs. This position will support the Assistant Director with the administration of all federal, state, institutional, and external scholarships, grants and any other financial aid programs, to include student eligibility, disbursement reporting, and serving as liaison to university offices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • (3-5) years of work related experience


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to relate to students, faculty and staff in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills (orally and in writing) required
  • Possess the ability and knowledge to conduct detailed analyses of financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students and faculty.
  • Provide excellent customer service to co-workers, staff, students, faculty and customers.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisor/manager and other staff members at all times.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to recognize and deal with priorities; recognize and perform duties not directly assigned; and assists others as needed.
  • Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Higher Education Financial Aid
  • Previous knowledge and working experience with grants and scholarships.
