Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Researcher will work on research projects alongside and under the supervision of the principal investigators, primarily as a key member of the research team involved with the waste water testing pipeline and doing related gut microbiome research on waste water samples.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to:
- Development of waste water surveillance pipeline, data collection, and analysis.
- Ensure that all experiments are conducted to the highest standard following the policies and procedures of Appalachian State University in a BSL2 environment.
- Serve as a liaison between collaborating partners.
- Participate/ assist in manuscript writing for publication and attending scientific conferences and meetings.
- Provide training and supervision of students and junior colleagues.
- Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies as needed.
