About the Opportunity:
The Senior Assistant Director for Student Financial Services Systems is responsible for systems and user support in the office of Student Financial Services. Reporting to the Senior Director for Systems, Data, & Technology, the Senior Assistant Director assists in automating processes and delivering a consistent level of service to all users of Ellucian Banner, PowerFAIDS, and other SFS services and operational technologies. The Senior Assistant Director manages data flow between Northeastern University and providers; is responsible for defining, creating, and implementing system training for staff members; and acts as a point of contact for the different constituencies with regards to troubleshooting and issue resolution. Working with the Senior Director for Systems, Data, & Technology, the Senior Assistant Director helps research, develop, maintain, and assess new electronic service initiatives for students and other key constituencies.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Assistant Director acts as a back up to the Senior Director for Systems, Data, & Technology as needed. The Senior Assistant Director works on department-wide initiatives and projects as needed. The Senior Assistant Director maintains working knowledge of all aid delivery, billing and departmental business processes so that he/she can optimize use of technology and automation tools to improve the overall customer experience. He/she provides student support, fulfills data requests, assists with customer services, key business functions, and other critical delivery services as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. At least four years of experience in the student financial services area with increasing levels of responsibility and technical expertise. Experience with PowerFAIDS, and Ellucian Banner Accounts Receivable preferred. Four years of experience with databases, and SQL. Experience with automation using AppWorx, Banner Document Management System, and workflow tools preferred. At least four years of experience supporting Windows-based networking environments required. Dedication to customer service and the mission of higher education required. Experience in planning and documenting technical processes and Web site development knowledge required. Exceptional communication skills, knowledge of higher education and issues related to student financial services. Strong organizational and analytical skills required. Flexible work schedule.
