The Department of Psychology, University of Washington, expects to fill a non-tenure track, Teaching Professor 50% time position.  Appointment expected to begin on September 16, 2021. Faculty have an annual service period of nine months (Sept 16-June 15). We seek a faculty member with deep experience in teaching online courses in animal behavior and exceptional leadership experience directing online certificate programs in Applied Animal Behavior. Candidates must be knowledgeable in Evolution of Social Behavior, Human-Animal Interactions, Companion Animals, and applied problem-solving in varied animal contexts such as livestock and captive animals. Candidates must also have experience with active learning techniques, classroom learning technologies, and fostering partnerships between students and community leaders. Responsibilities will include directing and managing programmatic and budgeting aspects of the Applied Animal Behavior Certificate Program, and teaching three courses in the program (one course in each of autumn, winter, and spring). Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, is required by date of appointment.
