The Department of Kinesiology at Greensboro College
invites applications for a faculty position to begin August
2021. The position is for an Assistant Professor of
Kinesiology. The successful candidate will teach courses in
the Department of Kinesiology, which may include but are not
limited to: Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning, Internship,
Biomechanics, Research Methods in Physical Activity. The
final teaching assignments will be based on the candidate’s
academic strengths and previous teaching experience.
The Department of Kinesiology offers undergraduate
majors in health and physical education (licensure), exercise and
sport studies (with concentrations in exercise science, sport
administration, and sport coaching) and health sciences and is
housed in the School of Sciences and Mathematics.
Review of applications will begin immediately and
continue through March 2021 and continue until the position is
filled. Candidates should submit a letter of application,
curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness, transcripts
(graduate and undergraduate), and a list of three references (for

Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications of the successful candidate
will include an earned doctorate in one of the following
disciplines (ABD candidates will be considered provided degree is
successfully completed prior to start date): exercise physiology,
kinesiology, health, or other disciplines related to exercise and
health science.
The qualified candidate needs to have evidence of
successful teaching experience.
A preferred qualification includes one or more
professional certifications or licensures in health education
(CHES) or exercise science (ACSM and/or NSCA).
