The University Registrar provides leadership, management, and coordination for the operations of the Registrar’s Office to ensure the integrity, maintenance, and security of student and academic records and data. The Registrar develops and administers the departmental budgets and accounts; serves as the university’s chief compliance officer for the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); oversees university teaching rooms and the development of the schedule of classes; develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty, and institutional leadership; develops staff to provide excellent services to the campus community while cultivating a spirit of teamwork and partnership; interviews, hires, and supervises new employees; evaluates staff; and encourages and facilitates professional growth of staff members.

Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel, or related field; at least eight years of experience in higher education, with at least four years of leadership and supervision experience, in university student services offices; demonstrated experience with supervision of staff; demonstrated experience with budget management; extensive knowledge of Registrar’s Office business practices and university business operations; experience working with FERPA compliance; experience with enterprise-level student information and course registration systems; a commitment to diversity and inclusion; excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset; exceptional analytical and technical skills with the ability to apply technical knowledge to support processes and complex functional problem solving; and an understanding of current trends and regulations in the registrar field required. PhD and leadership experience in a registrar’s office preferred.
