Want to work in a busy, progressive practice? Enjoy the challenge of high caseload and providing top-notch patient care and client service? The University of Florida is looking for three full-time or part-time experienced emergency veterinarians to join our existing 14 faculty members in ECC (7 emergency veterinarians, 7 criticalists). This is a fast growing clinical service encompassing intensive care, emergency services and hemodialysis/nephrology at our VECCS Level 1 and AAHA certified referral center in Gainesville, Florida as well as our state-of-the-art emergency practice in Ocala, Florida. We have developed a unique model to provide emergency and intensive care services. If you have considered academia before but never made the jump then call us – we love what we do and would be excited to share our experiences with you. A successful applicant would be heavily involved in primary patient care, as well as instruction and supervision of veterinary students. Responsibilities will vary based on experience.

Gainesville and Ocala are located in north central Florida; there are many opportunities for outdoor recreation including close proximity to beautiful beaches, gulf coast fishing towns, crystal clear warm water springs and unique wildlife.

Qualified applicants must hold a DVM degree or equivalent.

All applicants must apply online through Careers at UF in order to be considered for the position. If you would like to discuss informally please contact the ECC service chiefs, Travis Lanaux (lanaux@ufl.edu 352 278-4776) or Ashley Allen (aeallen@ufl.edu). For formal applications, a curriculum vitae, letter of application, and names of three individuals willing to write letters in support of the applicant for job number 69796 must be submitted online. Applications must be submitted by the closing date.

Final candidate will be required to provide official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered "official" if a designation of "Issued to Student" is visible. Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://www.naces.org/.

The University of Florida is an equal opportunity institution dedicated to building a broadly diverse and inclusive faculty and staff. If an accommodation due to a disability is needed to apply for this position, please call 352/392-2477 or the Florida Relay System at 800/955-8771 (TDD). Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the US. Searches are conducted in accordance with Florida's Sunshine Law.
