Position Summary:
The Procurement Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide operational support to maintain, develop, and enhance Eastern Kentucky University procurement department, including but not limited to the Procard program and eProcurement system. The incumbent will also be required to assist departments with purchasing goods and services, provide training for purchasing related processes, and cross train within the Procurement Department so that they may prepare and issue detailed and RFP specifications, negotiate contracts, maintain vendor relations and assist with all other procurement needs.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Business Administration or related field of study preferred


Minimum Experience:
One year of experience in a customer service related field is required. Experience in a college or university setting preferred.
