This is a full-time Psychology Adjunct Faculty position for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years. The successful candidate will also have the option of applying for a tenure-track position during the 2021-22 year.
The Evergreen State College seeks a faculty member with broad training and experience in psychology who is interested in teaching in a collaborative, liberal arts context using a student-centered approach. The successful candidate will join colleagues dedicated to expanding our undergraduate psychology and health programs. Specialization is open, but we are particularly interested in faculty with clinical/counseling expertise. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with students from underserved populations, and whose teaching emphasizes applied, critical, interdisciplinary, and social justice-oriented approaches to psychology. We are also interested in faculty members who can teach research methods and other key graduate school prerequisites.
At Evergreen, faculty are compensated based on a salary scale rather than on faculty rank or departments; adjuncts are paid at 90% of regular faculty salaries (see our Collective Bargaining Agreement for more detail).
