Primary Purpose of Position:
The faculty member will be charged with minor revisions to the Writing Concentration curriculum, including redesigning courses in Visual Rhetoric and in Digital Media, and fine tuning Technical and Professional Writing Courses. As an eventual Director of FYW, the faculty member will also be responsible for textbook selection, assessment, and curricular changes to ENG 1050, 1110, and 1210. The graduate program also needs to implement a professional writing component that this faculty member would have a role in crafting and teaching.


Minimum Education/Experience:
Must have Ph.D. in hand.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates must have experience teaching a wide variety of courses in Composition and Rhetoric, including, but not limited to the following: First-year Composition, Rhetorical Theory, History of Rhetoric, Visual Rhetoric, Writing for Digital Media, and Technical Writing. The ideal candidate will have experience with Writing Program Administration and curriculum development.
