2021-2022 academic year. The successful applicant will also be
appointed as a part-time Assistant Professor in an appropriate
department or program. This is a one-year position, which may be
renewed for a total of three years based on satisfactory
performance and continued need. Renewals beyond three years may

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to

ideally including quantitative approaches. However, candidates who
have research and teaching interests in other areas of Global
Health, as well as in other STEM areas, will also be considered
with the approval of the relevant department or program.
The successful candidate will enhance the Center for Diversity and Inclusion’s scholarly profile by conducting and publishing research in their area of interest, hosting a symposium for an external audience and offering on-campus presentations and/or presenting a professional development series for students, faculty, staff and guests. Specific activities will be proposed by the successful candidate and approved jointly by the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The successful candidate will also participate as a member of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion’s professional team by providing resources and/or support for students with a focus on one or more groups that the Center supports such as: Students of Color, DACA/Undocumented Students, International Students, or LGBTQIA+ Students depending on the candidate’s expertise and the Center’s needs.
The successful candidate will teach 2-3 courses per year (⅓ to ½ of a normal load) with specific courses to be determined by the appropriate department chair or program director with approval by the VP for Academic Affairs. With approval from the relevant department chair or program director, courses may be cross-listed in other disciplines.
