Position Summary:

Informatics, Team Lead works under the general supervision of the University Health Services (UHS) Informatics Manager. This position provides direct support and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the UHS Informatics Team. The Informatics, Team Lead will collaborate with the Informatics Manager by identifying and prioritizing activities and projects across the organization that support and optimize the electronic health record (EHR), clinical information systems (CIS), and other health software applications. Informatics, Team Lead ensures all related systems are implemented, optimized, and functioning with a high degree of reliability. As a member of the Informatics Team, this position is also responsible for coordinating basic application training, maintaining documentation, working with end users to develop data-driven solutions to improve the delivery of healthcare and patient/client outcomes at UHS, and participate in the development of strategies to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of information.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Informatics, Health Information Management, or similar fields highly preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Three or more years of experience in healthcare, specifically ambulatory care, highly preferred.
Required experience:
? Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience
? Ability to provide leadership, exercise influence, and build consensus within a team
? Demonstrated outstanding customer service
? Experience in business and clinical process improvement, organizational change and project management.
? Technical documentation skills and basic competence in Word and Excel
? Experience maintaining and supporting applications or software products
? Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred experience:
? Extensive knowledge or experience working with the Point and Click (PnC) EHR system.
? Previous support of, or familiarity with healthcare interfaces (ex. HL7, SFTP)
? Knowledge of technical training techniques and methodologies
? Understanding of basic network concepts
? Experience with HTML

License or Certificate:

? Certified Professional in Health Informatics & Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) or comparable certification preferred
