Position Summary
The Systems Specialist, Curriculum Management provides technical and clerical support to department leadership and team members. This office supports and monitors curriculum change, review and approval; academic scheduling to include room needs during the semester, as well as ad hoc events; and the degree audit and student planner system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Curriculum Management System Support
Serves in a support role for the Director and Assistant Director of the Office of Curriculum Management (OCM). Serves as back up support for the System Specialists and Specialists within the OCM.
Assists the OCM Director with Assessment and Program Validation needs by maintaining spreadsheet of ongoing Assessment work and Program Validation reports. Assists Director to resolve any faculty support or operational needs while they create and submit their Assessment and Program Validation reports.
Conducts annual collection and posting, to Curriculum Management software, completed and approved professional accreditation materials and letters of approval from Career and Technical programs. In conjunction with Assistant Director, reviews, creates and maintains appropriate content on the CSCC Employee website to support the functions of the Department.
Makes recommendations to Director and Assistant Director relative to need for system, application and training enhancements in support of curriculum change, assessment and program validation, degree audit and student planner, or academic scheduling applications and processes.
Customer Support
Provides customer support for each of the above processes, when the appropriate Program Coordinator or System Specialist is not available, by providing information/assistance or conflict resolution and transition of escalating conflicts to Assistant Director or Director when necessary.
Understands College Policy and Procedure that support curriculum change, assessment and program validation, degree audit and student planner and academic scheduling.
Clerical
Various clerical tasks, including maintaining proper program records and updating spreadsheets. Assists department with queries and data report writing relative to Curriculum Management, Assessment, Program Validation, and Program Professional Affiliations.
Organizes and maintains required paper and electronic files for the department relative to the work position processes. Generates report data for the Director or Assistant Director of OCM to assist them in fulfilling the department responsibilities and accountability. Maintains training and support files for all completed training conducted by the department.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Keep current and proficient in skills associated with training and support duties through periodic review of competencies and participation in webinars.
Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
Other duties as required. Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required .

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED, with 3 to 5 years progressively responsible clerical and data entry experience in higher education.
*An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Knowledge of: standard office practices and procedures; computer software programs (Colleague, CollegeNet suite, CurriQunet, and U.achieve) and applications including spreadsheets and databases; excellent skills in verbal and written communications; maintaining good public relations.
Skill in: verbal and written communications; operation of general office equipment; application of job software programs including word processing and spreadsheets; organization and data detail.
Ability to: work independently; develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, students and general public; maintain confidential and sensitive information; maintain accurate and complete work records; perform detailed work with data; demonstrate flexibility yet adhere to and meet deadlines; apply logical and critical thinking to problem solve; work effectively with persons of varying education, cultures and diversity.
USUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing duties iness offices. of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for periods of time, stands, and walks. Employee converses verbally with others in person as well as by telephone. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen or musical score. Employee occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office environment with regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.
