About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University, College of Professional Studies invites applications for an Open Rank full-time non-tenure track position in the Graduate School of Education, Masters of Arts in Teaching program.

At the College of Professional Studies, we believe in providing industry-aligned educational programs that are designed to advance individuals' careers and accommodate the complex lives of motivated learners.

Leveraging curricula that are informed by partner schools in NExT, a network of educators focused on experiential learning, students gain the perspective of education leaders through experiential opportunities, activities, and real projects that align with their career goals. The result is an educational experience founded on real world problems and solutions, applied scholarship, and sustained by academic excellence.

Students in the College of Professional Studies include working professionals, military veterans, and international students committed to advance or pivot their career to pursue their passions, unlock opportunities and improve their lives and the lives of their families.

The Graduate School of Education is seeking a faculty member for the Master of Arts in Teaching degree. The MAT program includes a student teaching practicum that leads to an initial teacher license in Massachusetts for elementary and secondary grade levels. The program runs on the quarter system, and courses are offered year-round. It utilizes a hybrid model in which classes meet on the Northeastern Boston campus as well as online. The Master of Arts in Teaching program is organized around the Equity Framework, which emphasizes equity and inclusion, culturally responsive teaching, and education justice. All coursework engages students in reflection, analysis, and action.

The Graduate School of Education is offering an Open Rank full-time, non-tenure track, one-year renewable appointment. The candidate will be expected to teach across masters programs as a content expert in k12 education, experiential education, ESL, and teacher preparation and teacher development. The position is based in Boston; however, there is a possibility of traveling periodically throughout the year to our campuses in Seattle, WA, Charlotte, NC, and other locations (the College would cover travel and lodging costs). Courses are taught online; however, faculty have the opportunity for a home office, but are required to maintain office hours as directed and necessary. Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance, and are expected to be available to students, whether in-person or online, for their course and dissertation work. Faculty contribute to the College's mission through teaching, service and scholarship. The faculty member will report directly to the Faculty Director
