About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology at Northeastern University is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time 12-month position as a laboratory technician. Primary responsibilities will include data collection and participant interaction of a federally-funded clinical trial aimed at examining the effects of exercise training on cognitive and brain health in older adults. Specific responsibilities will include: recruiting, screening, and scheduling participants for data collection; database management; communication with the investigators and staff; working closely with participants, graduate students, research technicians, undergraduate research assistants, and other staff members to ensure study protocol is followed. The preferred start date for this is position is ASAP

Preferred Qualifications:

An academic background in Psychology, Health Sciences, Public Health, Geriatrics, or related field is preferred but other backgrounds will be considered. A bachelor's degree is required, but Master's degree in Psychology or Neuroscience is preferred. Prior human subjects laboratory experience is also required. Successful candidates will be expected to be highly organized; dependable; familiar with Microsoft Office software; have excellent oral and written communication skills; have an ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal, time management, and solution focused skills are required
