The Department of Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, seeks to recruit for a full-time faculty position with sub-specialty training in Endourology in the Clinical X Series at the Assistant Professor rank. The Candidate must be qualified to perform all aspects of Endourology, including surgical and medical management of stone disease. Successful candidates will have the foundation, preparation and vision to pursue a productive career in academic urology. This entails responsibilities in clinical care, teaching, creative work/research, and University and public service.

The candidate must meet these basic qualifications: possess a Medical Degree; completion of an approved fellowship in Endourology on or before the start of the appointment; be board certified or board-eligible in Urology; be eligible for licensure in the State of California (California medical license must be obtained prior to start date); be qualified to perform all aspects of Endourology, including surgical and medical management of stone disease; have experience in providing clinical services in the area of Endourology, evidence of experience with teaching and publications of scholarly work in medical literature.

The candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and cordially within a diverse environment and adhere to policies and procedures. Salary will be based upon experience and qualifications.

The Department of Urologic Surgery at UC Davis Medical Center is a busy academic practice with expertise encompassing all areas of urologic surgery. We have an accredited 5-year urologic surgery residency and matriculate 2/3 residents per year. UC Davis Medical Center is located in Sacramento, CA, and is the main tertiary referral center and the region’s only level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center. The hospital has 631 beds, with busy inpatient and outpatient surgical facilities.

Located approximately 90 miles inland from San Francisco, Sacramento is culturally diverse, technologically advanced, and the fastest growing city in California. Home to the state capitol, Sacramento is also the political hub for California. In addition to excellent schools, diverse restaurants, and an expanding housing market, Sacramento also boasts proximity to incredible outdoor activities including Lake Tahoe (120 miles), Napa Valley (60 miles), and Yosemite (160 miles).
