Responsibilities:
The Technical Support Assistant will work closely with the CIO to take on duties in relation to COVID-19 technical support issues and planning. Success in this role requires understanding of computers, computer related software such as Excel and Power BI, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will work with students as required as a part of the student computer check out program, resolve student related issues with those computers, and assist the CIO on a daily basis with reports and reporting systems developed specifically for COVID related issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage student computer check out program
  
• Maintains records and logs of computer equipment on loan
  
• Respond to computer related issues as a part of the computer check out program
  
• Work with excel and Power BI on reports related to COVID-19
  
• Prioritize and manage workflows related to COVID-19 reporting
  
• Provide support to the CIO in managing daily tasks
  
  
  Qualifications:
  Associates degree in electronic engineering technology, IT, MIS or Computer Engineering or equivalent. 1-4 years of experience working on computers, understanding Microsoft excel and Power BI.
  
  -Ability to assess causes of technical problems and find solutions in computers and peripheral hardware using logical troubleshooting methods.
  
  -Strong understanding of complex spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
  
  -Understanding or reporting software such as Power BI.
  
  -Ability to analyze complex problems to determine a solution
  
  
  Salary:
  12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
