The University of Lynchburg is accepting applications for the position of Director of Field Placements.  This is a regular part-time, nine month position beginning with the fall 2021; Some summer preparation work is required.  The successful candidate will have experience in PK-12 administration and knowledge of teacher licensure requirements in Virginia.  Training in the New Teacher Center mentoring program is preferred.

 

In addition to directing field and student teacher placements, the director serves on the College Dean’s leadership team, manages the Educator Prep Program, teaches the field seminar, and facilitates the Teach for Tomorrow program.  The Director also collects and analyzes data relevant to the quality of field placements and leads the faculty in responding to relevant data.

The selected candidate must pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
