Job Summary

The Adjunct Assistant Professor, Automation Engineer Technology will teach sections of courses within the program, including Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Industrial Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree
Five years' relevant work experience
Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC Control Logix
Demonstrated current electrical and construction industry knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of safety in the industrial maintenance field
Ability to work with a variety of industrial tools and operations (including industrial motor controls and VFDs, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting
Ability to create curriculum to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with three years' related experience working in the automation manufacturing industry
Two years' experience teaching an a vocational setting
Experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles
Master electrician license
Industry recognized certification
Teaching or training experience
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
