- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in NCAA compliance or related field
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience
The Assistant to the Chancellor for Athletics enhances, implements and maintains a strong program of academic integrity and NCAA rules compliance within the Department of Athletics at Appalachian State University.
Responsibilities Include:
- NCAA rule compliance within the Appalachian State University Athletics Department, liaison to the NCAA and complete reports as required
- Serve on the university Athletics Council
- Supervise 3 full-time compliance positions
- Manage the athletics compliance area budget within Athletics and provide NCAA Rules Education training
- Position establishes and maintains collaborative and effective working relationships with campus leadership, faculty, students, staff with regard to all compliance issues in Athletics.
