Job Summary
Serve as the Savannah and Hinesville campuses lead for the Academic Success Center. Provide leadership and support on student success initiatives and unit activities. Make strategic, procedural, and developmental recommendations for the department based on input from specific units; and provide overall leadership and vision for creation, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive institutional and unit programming. This position has been identified by Federal Law (Jeanne Clery Act) as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), with significant student and campus responsibilities. CSA's are obligated to report crimes reported to them which occurred on campus, in public areas bordering campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled (leased) by the University.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Supervise full-time staff that include Success Coaches, Education Specialists, and Coordinator for Peer Programs
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate student employees
  • Develop and implement procedures for recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and ongoing development of all employees
  • Present programs and training workshops to students, student groups, and campus partners as needed
  • Identify and maintain opportunities to collaborate with campus partners on communication, implementation, marketing, and assessment of ASC services
  • Represent Academic Success Center at University events including orientation, open houses, recruitment events
  • Supervise employees' work allocation, training, promotion
  • Enforce departmental internal procedures and controls
  • Manage projects and track and assess results
  • Develop and establish policies and objectives consistent Department and Division
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures specific to functioning and reporting of department services on Armstrong and Liberty campuses
  • Formulate strategies for developing and implementing department-wide budget
  • Serve as FYE 1220 First-Year Seminar instructor
  • Develop, implement, and assess student learning goals and outcomes for educational services provided on Armstrong and Liberty campuses for tutoring, mentoring, workshops, presentations and success coaching
  • Identify and work through unforeseen problems related to establishment and maintenance of Academic Success Center office on Armstrong campus that serves Armstrong and Liberty campuses
  • Manage communication, consultation, advising, and registration for students in Learning Support program per USG policy
  • Stay abreast of current events and trends related to administration of peer mentoring, tutoring, educational outreach, assessment, success coaching, and other academic success strategies
  • Manage content of department content on web pages related to Armstrong and Liberty campuses
  • Provide leadership and support for university student success initiatives, including Momentum Year and Momentum Approach
  • Serve on University and departmental committees as assigned

  • Three or more years of related work experience

Proposed Salary
$50,000 - $52,000
