Title: TRIO Program Coordinator

Position Summary: To coordinate the TRIO services and activities associated with academic support, goal planning, technology access, tutoring, peer mentoring, cultural enrichment, financial literacy, orientations/workshops, and 4-year college transfer plans which will assist students with retention, graduation, and transfer.

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support to students for seamless transition to college for first time freshmen, readmitted students, and non-traditional students, includes 4-year transfer assistance and academic advising. Assist Manager with TRIO recruitment activities and the selection process of program participants. Assist Manager with retention activities, the annual student file audits of received services and the Annual Performance Report (APR). Coordinate all support services of the TRIO program, including orientation/workshops, financial literacy, technology program, resource center and 4-year college tours. Coordinate tutoring program, supervise tutors and create monthly tutoring schedules. Provide group and/or individual tutoring as needed. Assist Manager with the peer mentoring program, recruitment, training and supervision of activities. Provide appropriate referrals to other academic support services on campus as necessary. Assist in developing and monitoring the progress of Goal Planning System (GPS) for TRIO students. Assist Manager with completing the Annual Performance Report, generating academic progress reports, and summarizing program evaluations using spreadsheets and student record databases. Work closely with Learning Support departments regarding student progress with course completion. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. One (1) year of experience in tutoring, advising and/or educational support in a college setting. One (1) year of experience working with low-income, first generation and/or disabled students. One (1) year of student (or customer) service experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in education, psychology, or related field. Experience in administering and interpreting academic and career assessments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong communication and/or supervisory skills. Must have analytical skills and attention to detail.

Pay Rate: 36,650.00 - 45,810.00 annual salary depending on experience
