The Psychology Program at Lewis-Clark State College, a 4-year institution in Lewiston, Idaho, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The starting salary will be $51,500.

Candidates will have earned a PhD in Psychology or PsyD by the start date of August 2021. Specialization is open.

Quality instruction is required at LCSC. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of successful teaching experience. The teaching load is 24 credits per year (typically 4 courses per semester). Advising, scholarship/professional development, and institutional service are required. Teaching assignments will include both face-to-face and online courses. It is anticipated that there will be opportunities to develop courses in one's area(s) of interest/specialization.

LCSC is an undergraduate institution with a strong liberal arts tradition. The Psychology Program is housed in the Division of Social Sciences and is one of the larger majors on campus. Faculty are collegial and collaborative. LCSC psychology majors complete multiple research methods classes and have the opportunity to complete an internship, making our graduate acceptance rate very high.

Founded in 1893, LCSC has a beautiful campus situated in a valley that also boasts the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. Lewiston is surrounded by farmed rolling hills (the Palouse) and is close to destinations for water sports, hiking, berry-picking, fishing, backpacking, and skiing.
