Department Chairperson, Associate/Professor of Educational Leadership

THE DEPARTMENT OF LEADERSHIP AND TEACHER EDUCATION (LTE) in the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of South Alabama is seeking applications to fill the position of Department Chairperson, Associate Professor/Professor of Educational Leadership. The department chair is the chief administrator of the department and is responsible for the academic, personnel, financial, and administrative needs of the department. This appointment is a twelve (12) month full-time tenure-track position, commensurate with qualifications, available June 1, 2021. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Educational Leadership/Administration or a related field. If the doctorate is in a related field, there must be 18 graduate semester hours completed in educational leadership. The successful candidate will have a vision for professional educator preparation; a strong record of scholarly activity, including refereed publications and/or external funding; experience teaching, advising, and mentoring student research at the graduate level; previous administrative experience; demonstrated commitment to diversity among faculty and students; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other units on campus as well as school, business, and community partners; and excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
