The selected candidate will investigate how disease-related mutations or genetic variants expressed in immune cells disrupt endolysosomal traffic and lipid-signaling and dysregulate central-peripheral neuroimmune cross-talk and contribute to neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration; and how to leverage this knowledge to develop new and more effective therapeutic interventions that can be translated to the clinic. The position involves interdisciplinary laboratory basic, translational, and clinical research using immunological and other methods.
