Assistant or Associate Professor of Disease Ecology
Department of Ecology, Evolutionary, and Organismal Biology
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Disease Ecology faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology, that begins in August 2021.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program addressing important questions in the field of disease ecology. Research programs in our college and department are found at (http://csm.kennesaw.edu/research/index.php).
Candidates working in a disease system relevant to the Southern US and Georgia as well as candidates who can develop a collaborative and innovative research program that complements the Department’s current expertise are particularly encouraged to apply.
Teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is expected with specific course assignments based on the applicant's area of expertise. Advising and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students is expected.
Participation in professional service within the Department, the College of Science and Mathematics, the University and beyond is expected.

Required Qualifications
- an earned doctorate (or its foreign equivalent) in biology or a closely related discipline;
- post-doctoral experience;
- a record of peer-reviewed publications (or accepted manuscripts);
- a research proposal deemed likely to attract extramural funding. An applicant at the Associate Professor level must have a record of successfully securing extramural funding.

- Success in obtaining extramural funding
- A record of teaching at the university level and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
- Commitment to inclusive excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research
