About the Opportunity:
Perform a variety of duties to assist in the maintenance and repair of Dormitory Buildings as assigned by Residential Operations Manager and Residence Hall Supervisor of the Building Service Department.

Responsibilities:
Service and clean offices, classrooms and common areas by vacuuming, replacing light bulbs, emptying recycling bins, and emptying trash. Will dust and wash walls and furniture and will wash glass in the office or on partitions. Will service restrooms by filling soap dispensers, sanitary napkin dispensers, and restock paper towels and toilet paper. As necessary, will mop up water, leaks, and spills and will unplug sinks or unclog toilets. Is responsible for opening and closing a building and keeping the entryways accessible. This includes sweeping debris off stairs and sidewalks in front of the building. Permanent member of the snow removal team duties to include being on call on a 24-hour basis during the winter months, shoveling snow applying deicer, etc. Is responsible for putting away delivered stock items such as cases of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in stock room. Assist other superintendents in setting up staging, tables and chairs for University functions, as well as moving and setting up residence hall furniture. Cover other buildings when building superintendents are on vacation. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:
| Suitable references and the ability to follow directions and interact with a variety of people. | Must be able to work overtime during the week and on weekends when needed. | Must have a valid Massachusetts driving license and a valid up to date DOT certificate | Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs. | Must be able to work alone and climb multiple sets of stairs, work off ladders, staging etc. Requirements | Ninety days after employment employees are required to become a member of Union Local 32BJ, District 615. | This position requires a criminal background check. | 40-hour work week - Hours: Sunday 6AM - 2:30PM, Monday through Friday 12PM - 8:30PM | Permanent membership on the Snow Team is a requirement of this position. | Job description subject to change based upon the University needs and demands.
