Job Description

Design, develop, test, and maintain IT Service Management applications and services needed to improve the effectiveness of the Division of Information Technology. Works as a member of a team assigned to develop, expand, and deploy the Division of Information Technology’s ITSM tool, ServiceNow. Works with Division of IT staff to identify critical needs for applications, specify requirements, and applies approved application designs to develop, implement, test, and deploy new applications and improve existing applications. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource regarding the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation and have fluency in ServiceNow design and development principles that enables them to work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices. The scope includes, but is not limited to, incident management, problem management, change management, service catalog, knowledge management, idea/demand, configuration management database (CMDB), performance analytics, project and portfolio management, and automated test framework. The senior developer will be a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator on the Paris release. Ideal candidates should have been involved in at least one major upgrade of ServiceNow, must understand the core ServiceNow ITSM and ITBM processes, be familiar with the foundations of ITIL and have experience with modern application development paradigms, design patterns and tools, such as REST, SOAP, JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, XML, and LDAP.

This position is open to support 100% remote work for the appropriate candidate.

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
•Demonstrated experience programming and administering Service-Now in a large enterprise environment
•Solid developer experience independent of the ServiceNow platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Solid skills using the ServiceNow platform: developing APIs via script including a competency of client and server APIs, Service Portal work leveraging Angular, mobile, integration hub, etc.
•ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Paris release).
•Strong working knowledge of application development
•Demonstrated skills in application and services development using applications such as REST, SOAP, JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, and XML
•Self-starter with ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and projects
•Ability to operate independently with high-level direction and with assigned teams to accomplish organizational goals and objectives is essential
•Willingness and ability to document knowledge and share with others is required
•Strong interaction skills regardless of audience
•Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

•ITIL v4 (or higher) certification
•Certified Application Developer (CAD) on a recent SN platform release
•Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) on a recent SN platform release and/or experience as a primary ServiceNow implementer on a mature installation
•Certified Application Specialist (CAS) on a recent SN platform release and/or experience implementing and enhancing Performance Analytics
•Experience working on project teams that leverage Agile/Scrum
