Job Summary
The Harbert College of Business is seeking applications for a Career Counselor/Coach, reporting to the Director of Graduate Career Services.
Essential Functions
The Career Coach will be responsible for managing and delivering the Career Coaching process for MBA and the other graduate program students, with main initial focus serving online graduate students. This position will assist students with analyzing their career goals and guiding them, through one on one and/or group coaching, to determine and select career paths to pursue. You will set and manage the flow of student career coaching appointments in order to ensure timely and effective service is provided.
In this critical role, you will assist with the development, planning and execution of the Career Development programming needed to build or improve career competencies of students. Our goal is to advance the development of skills needed for successful career acceleration/pivot and to ensure successful employer engagement. You will also assist with employer and alumni career events every semester.
The position will be responsible for the ongoing execution of the Graduate Programs Mentor Program, which pairs individual graduate business students across all programs with alumni mentors.
This teammate will collect and assist with analysis of learning and employment outcomes data in support of submissions to multiple rankings organizations and internal dashboards. You will have input to the development of surveys and other data collection tools in support of this activity.
This position will assist with the supervision of 1-2 Graduate Assistants in completing day-to-day responsibilities as well as in the execution of career development programming and events.
The Career Coach may also assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Graduate Career Services.

Career and Professional Development support is provided to more than 1,000 students currently enrolled in full time and online MBA, MS in Finance, and MS in Information Systems programs as well as Executive MBA, Physicians Executive MBA, MS in Supply Chain Management and Master of Real Estate Development programs.

Minimum Skills and Abilities
Attention to detail is a critical job skill for this position. Empathy and people skills are vital in this role. Familiarity with FERPA, NACE standards, MBA CSEA standards, EEOC .

Basic computer technology skills (MS Office Suite) minimum.
Minimum License and Certifications
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Canvas, Handshake, SalesForce ( CRM ), Zoom, Loom and social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). Event planning and social media experience. Formal HR or career services experience.
